The Prince Kuhio long distance race is a much anticipated event on Kauai. It marks the start of the racing season and does so in a BIG way! Every canoe racing club on Kauai will send crews to participate.
The race is held in two stages where the men race in the first stage and mixed teams, women and youth crews race in the second stage. Hundreds of paddling athletes on Kauai will race in this event. Don’t miss it!
The following information is valid for the March 23, 2024 race.

RACE DETAILS: Men start from Kalapaki at 8am and finish at Kukui’ula.
Women, mixed, and NaOpio start from Kukui’ula at approximately 10:30 and finish at Salt Pond.

Men’s divisions:
- Unlimited – Open, 40, 50, 60
- Traditional – Open, 40, 50, 60
Women’s divisions:
- Unlimited – Open, 40, 50, 60
- Traditional – Open, 40, 50, 60
Mixed divisions:
- Unlimited – Open, 40, 50, 60
- Traditional – Open, 40, 50, 60
Na Opio divisions: Girls, Boys, Mixed, Unlimited
REGISTRATION: $120 per crew (Na Opio free)
IMPORTANT!
- All teams must be registered online by Wednesday the 20th.
- Crews must be set by 12 noon on Friday the 22nd.
- NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON RACE DAY!
