The Prince Kuhio long distance race is a much anticipated event on Kauai. It marks the start of the racing season and does so in a BIG way! Every canoe racing club on Kauai will send crews to participate.
The race is held in two stages where the men race in the first stage and mixed teams, women and youth crews race in the second stage. Hundreds of paddling athletes on Kauai will race in this event. Don’t miss it!
The following information is valid for the March 25, 2023 race.
RACE DETAILS: Men start from Kalapaki at 8am and finish at Kukui’ula.
Women, mixed, and NaOpio start from Kukui’ula at 10:30 and finish at Salt Pond.
Men’s divisions: Open, Novice, Unlimited, 40, 50, 60
Women’s divisions: Open, Novice, Unlimited, 40, 50, 60
Mixed divisions: Open, Novice, Unlimited, 40, 50, 60
Na Opio divisions: Girls, Boys, Mixed
REGISTRATION: $120 per crew (Na Opio free) – IMPORTANT: Registration and payment must be completed by Friday the 24th – NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON RACE DAY!
